[12/11/17] We are one of the businesses who face a potential boycott from anonymous protestors who are upset that we advertise during the Rush Limbaugh program on WHKP. We are a small business so our advertising budget is also small. When we asked WHKP when we would get the biggest bang for our teeny tiny buck, we were told they have the most listeners between 12 and 3. We are too busy working to serve every individual who enters our business regardless of race, creed, politics, sexual orientation, ethnicity or whatever other things exist that pit humans against each other. We love our entire community and we hope that there are more people who will stand with us than those who seek to shut us down if we do not do as they suggest. We hope that they will respect the folks who depend on us for a living, the cultural, educational and charitable organizations we support and our right to advertise where and when we choose. Just wanted to let you know and hope you will stick with us if things get tough. [10/25/17] Famous Pharmacists: Novelist - Agathia Christie Founding Father - Benjamin Franklin V.P.

Since many drugs are not commercially manufactured in strengths or dosage forms that are appropriate for children, parents or caregivers may need to break or crush tablets and mix into foods, or try to hide the bad taste of a liquid. Sometimes this means that part of a dose is wasted. Our compounding pharmacy can customize medications into pleasantly flavored dosage forms such as easy-to-measure solutions, gummy bears, freezer pops, and lollipops to avoid the need to break or crush tablets that are intended for adults. We work together with children, parents/caregivers, and their physicians to make it fun to take needed medications. In RA, the immune system produces antibodies that attach to and attack the linings of joints, causing inflammation, swelling, and pain. NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are commonly used to treat rheumatoid arthritis but they do not slow down disease progression. Most people with RA also take other types of medications, such as methotrexate or biologics, to reduce immune system over activity and help prevent further joint damage. If untreated, rheumatoid arthritis causes gradually causes permanent joint damage. RA affects more women more often than men, and in recent years, has been increasing in the 20-40 age group. Many symptoms of hypothyroidism and menopause overlap. And, hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone) is a common condition among patients receiving dialysis, resulting in symptoms of low energy, increased fatigue and pain, and reduced physical function. The most common form of thyroid therapy does not contain both types of hormones that the body needs. Talk to our pharmacist to see if you might benefit from customized therapy. We will work with your doctor to meet your specific needs. Feline hypertension is a relatively common and potentially fatal disease process in cats.
Unlike other species, the vast majority of cases of high blood pressure in cats are caused by systemic diseases such as renal failure, cardiomyopathy, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism. These cats typically develop acute signs including blindness, seizures, difficulty breathing, muscle weakness or partial paralysis. Fortunately, if caught early, this condition is manageable regardless of the underlying cause. The two most common treatment options for feline hypertension are drugs known as calcium-channel blockers and ACE inhibitors. Our compounding pharmacist can work with your vet to make it easier for you to medicate your cat.
We can customize dosage forms such as flavored treats or suspensions that contain the best dose for your pet. Toenail fungus can infect your nail, nail bed, and the surrounding skin. Fungus can often make the nail change color, grow in unusual patterns, or become extremely thick or brittle. If you are dealing with toenail fungus (also called onychomycosis), talk to our compounding pharmacist about topical anti-fungal therapies that are specially formulated to penetrate the nail and have fewer side effects than oral anti-fungal medications.
