CBD for Dogs: The CBD Your Dog Feels Faster
CBD for Dogs uses a proprietary formula designed for better, faster absorption than traditional CBD hemp oils for pets. That’s important, because dogs can’t benefit from what they don’t absorb, and better absorption means your best friend gets more of the CBD you paid for. Plus, our proprietary formula makes digestion easier so you can put it right on your pup’s food.
How to use: Give by mouth or add to food for immediate consumption
Because it’s CBD you can trust. And we’ve been doing this for 30 years.
Our family has been making healthy oils and supplements in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 30 years. As a leader in the natural foods industry, we stake our reputation on innovating and creating the quality products our customers have come to expect. And like all of our products, our CBD hemp oil products meet the very highest standards of excellence.
We’re US Hemp Authority Certified.
All Barlean’s CBD products are US Hemp Authority Certified, giving you confidence that they are made from legal hemp and adhere to the highest quality standards.
Looking for third party test results?
Smart you! It’s important to know what’s in the CBD you’re buying. All Barlean’s CBD hemp oils are third party tested for heavy metals, pesticides and other toxins, as well as cannabinoid levels (including CBD and THC) and other results. That way you know that whats supposed to be in each bottle IS in there, and also that it DOESN’T have the stuff you don’t want.
We make it easy to get lot-specific test results, directly from our website, for every bottle of CBD hemp oil we sell. Use the QR code on our labels and boxes, or visit Barleans.com/LookItUp to see what’s in your bottle of Barlean’s CBD Hemp Oil. Or just click below to go right to the page.
Once you’re on our Look It Up page, you can choose between two ways of getting batch-specific results for the product you’re interested in. Search the full list of all product batches, or enter the batch/lot number and let our system do the searching for you. You’ll find the batch/lot number printed on every single bottle and box of CBD we sell. It’ll be toward the bottom of the label or box, a long with the “best before” date. With our online tool, it’s easy to check before you buy.
Let’s Talk Farming.
The folks who farm the hemp for our USDA certified organic products are deeply committed to regenerative farming practices. They’ve been farming organically for many years. They conserve water and till minimally. They use companion crops and cover crops, which helps to sequester carbon and add diversity to the soil. They don’t put chemicals on their fields – ever. If you’ve ever talked to an organic farmer, you’ll know it’s ALL about soil health, and often that requires doing things in ways that require more hands-on work, and often take longer. But they’re not complaining; they wouldn’t have it any other way.
But what about the farmers who grow hemp for our non-organic products? Actually, those folks do most everything the old-fashioned way, too. They have low energy and water use at the farm, and avoid soil erosion by timing their soil cultivation and ground cover plants just right. They allow some of that non-hemp vegetation to stick around a bit longer; it helps keep the soil healthy, and it helps keep the soil from blowing away during drier weather. They also use reduced tilling practices and amend their fields with compost as needed. Chemical pesticides? Not needed. That’s the job of a nice big praying mantis population, and sometimes nematodes, too. Weeding is done manually.
It all takes a bit more time and work this way, but our farmers care about the land they grow on and the planet we all share. Sometimes what seems old fashioned is really just the right way to do things.

Please read this paragraph in the voice of Ron Swanson. Disregard the F grade by Center for Food Safety in 2019 (see below). The new 2020 Hemp CBD Score Card awarded Barlean’s an A score, which makes more sense. However, I maintain my stance that the Center for Food Safety rating system lacks substance. Furthermore, I would like to take this time to recognize the government’s lack of competence in both recognizing the value of hemp and evaluating the reliability of any hemp product. The government uses your tax dollars effectively.
Barlean’s received an F grade by the Center for Food Safety for organic farming, testing, and transparency. I’ve read this report and disagree entirely.
The lousy score came mainly from Barlean’s not responding to their questionnaire. They didn’t even lab-test the companies that they were rating for transparency. Instead, they relied on the tests that the CBD companies provided (LOL). If you look at my industry report, most of the companies that tested the worst also came with inaccurate lab reports and that’s the entire reason I test lab products at CBD Examine.
Barlean’s has one of the first and only organic certification for CBD, they’re transparent and provide lab results. This article explains many of the flaws of the Hemp CBD Scorecard.
