That’s why Berkshire CBD set out on a mission to create a selection of CBD flower strains designed to combat these problems faster than any other, and they did not disappoint.
Get Quick, Powerful Relief With Berkshire CBD
As someone who’s dealt with anxiety and insomnia since my late teens, there was a point when all-nighters and frazzled nerves had become so ingrained in my day-to-day that I began to lose sight of what was “normal.”
I felt like I was running on fumes, doing the absolute bare minimum just to make it through the day. My work and social life were suffering, my hobbies had totally fallen by the wayside, and I was depressed.
During an especially awful night of sleeplessness, I decided it was time to find answers, and that’s when I stumbled across Berkshire CBD.
I ordered their Suver Haze strain for its relaxing properties, and – after the best night’s sleep I’d had in years – I quickly ordered more.
And I’m never going back.
Video: Three Things I Love and One Thing I Hate About Berkshire
Here’s the deal:
After it helped me make a total 180 in what seemed like the flip of a switch, I want everyone to know about Berkshire’s hemp flower.
Berkshire incorporates every single cannabinoid and plant compound to create incredibly discreet, powerful, and – have I mentioned? – lightning-fast products.
Where most CBD takes up to an hour, Berkshire’s hemp flower takes just a few minutes.
Not just that, but Berkshire works closely with small farms in conjunction with third-party, state-licensed testing facilities to provide the highest quality and potency possible.
All of Berkshire’s premium hemp bud is slow-dried, 60-day-cured, hand-manicured, and cultivated outdoors without the use of any pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, making their products the best on the market – but more on that in a minute.
Why CBD Hemp Flower?
According to the latest research, full spectrum CBD (CBD with all of the plant’s cannabinoids) offers the greatest health and wellness benefits, and that’s why Berkshire set out on a mission to provide the highest quality, “whole plant medicine” on the market.
But why is whole plant medicine the most effective?
While CBD certainly offers plenty of health benefits on its own, other cannabinoids offer different health benefits for a wide range of ailments. This means if you’re taking just CBD alone, you’re missing out.
But that’s not all.
Cannabinoids work together to magnify the therapeutic benefits of each individual cannabinoid, a phenomenon referred to as the “ entourage effect .”
This is why many benefits can only be unlocked through “whole plant medicine” – that is with the integrity of all the plant’s compounds fully intact.
This, along with the efficacy of absorption, is the driving ideology behind Berkshire ’s premium, CBD-rich hemp flower grown for inhalation.
Vaping Hemp Flower Provides Best Delivery For Benefits
Scientific studies have shown hemp flower to provide the highest level of bioavailability if vaporized or smoked, as this maximizes efficiency and optimizes the benefits of the e ntourage effect .
Vaporized consumption involves inhaling CBD directly into the lungs typically through a vape pen or vaporizer device . By directly entering the lungs, the CBD can then enter the bloodstream directly with reduced breakdown rates and higher bioavailability.
Numerous studies on vaping CBD have reported bioavailability rates up to a whopping 56%, proving vaporization is by far one of the quickest and most effective methods to take CBD.
That’s why Berkshire advocates their premium CBD-rich hemp flower be used with dynamic convection (a vaporizer) to maximize the full benefits of the whole plant.
Is CBD Hemp Flower Legal?
I know what you’re thinking: hemp flower bears an uncanny resemblance to its psychoactive cousin, marijuana, and it’s understandable why this creates so much confusion.
However, while marijuana and hemp are both members of the cannabis family and share a lot of characteristics, there’s a big difference between the amount of psychoactive Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) each plant produces.
While marijuana can contain up to 30% THC, hemp is defined legally as a cannabis plant containing no more than 0.3% THC.
This means Berkshire’s CBD hemp bud contains only trace amounts of THC, making it totally legal.
Lab Test Results Look Great
Will CBD Hemp Flower Make Me Feel High?
Unlike THC, CBD is one of the most abundant constituents of hemp and completely non-psychoactive.
Because of this, you will not experience a “high” when inhaling or ingesting Berkshire’s CBD hemp flower.
Instead, consumers can expect a wide range of health benefits in treating pain, mood, inflammation, and anxiety without any of the side effects commonly associated with prescription medications.
What Types Of Problems Can Berkshire CBD Help?
In their mission to provide the manifold benefits whole plant medicine has to offer, Berkshire designs products that combine cannabinoids and flavonoids to accommodate many different purposes.
Each of Berkshire’s hemp flower strains can be used to successfully treat a long list of ailments, including:
- Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Muscular and skeletal injuries
- Cancer and the painful side effects of chemotherapy
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Multiple sclerosis
- Nerve damage or neuropathic pain
- General aches and pains

Berkshire Elektra CBD Hemp Flower (8.3)
Berkshire Remedy CBD Hemp Flower (8.1)
Berkshire Lifter CBD Hemp Flower (8.0)
Berkshire CBD Elektra hemp flower, Sativa, 16.98% CBD, .14% delta 9 THC
Berkshire CBD’s website oozes class in a world with some seedy – pun intended – companies. Thoughtful packaging, quality photography, useful product descriptions and intuitive ways to shop for flower are all reasons that Berkshire is worth a look. We previously reviewed their Remedy CBD Flower and were impressed with what we found. Given the wide range of flower that Berkshire has, though, we certainly couldn’t stop there. While Remedy is a strain well known in the medical marijuana world, we switched gears and went towards a strain that is best known from the hemp world – Elektra. As a famous sativa-leaning hemp strain, we were excited to see what Berkshire had in store for us.
The Five Senses (8.0 out of 10)
When you tear open a pouch of Elektra, you’ll be greeted with the scent of earth and a touch of sweetness. Berkshire labels the sweetness as Orange Blossom, and while our reviewers couldn’t pinpoint it quite that specifically, did notice some subtle citrus hints. In terms of scent, this flower is not as loud as some, but certainly not subdued either – a really pleasant balance. When smoked, that scent doesn’t fully translate and that was kind of surprising, but not in a bad way. We found that the Berkshire Elektra actually had a diesel quality to the smoke and was quite tasty. Now, that diesel quality wasn’t as pronounced as Hemp Hop’s Abacus Diesel, but it was noticeable for sure. As a result, we found Elektra’s smoke to be not too harsh, bu just a touch harsher than Berkshire’s Remedy flower. That touch of harshness could be relating to the cure more than the strain, in any case.
Curb Appeal (8.5 out of 10)
Our Elektra buds showed up looking quite similar to the pictures on Berkshire’s website, which is a good thing. Inside our package, we found large, plump nuggets stuffed to the brim of our eighth pouch. The flower itself had a healthy amount of long, orange trichomes amidst a lime green flower backdrop. This flower (as you can see in our pictures) is definitely greener than many flowers that trend towards being almost brown. The cure was just about right, though not quite as sticky as the Remedy strain we received previously. As we mentioned in The Five Senses section, this flower was a touch dryer than we would have expected. All in all, that didn’t hinder the experience. The Elektra flower still had a nice overall quality about it.
Potency (7.5 out of 10)
Coming in at 16.98% CBD content, this flower is right in the middle of the spectrum in terms of CBD potency. Those levels set the tone as a nice starting point for the THC and terpene content to jump in. On the THC front, the Berkshire Elektra came in at .14% delta-9 – an exact mirror of the Remedy THC content. This doesn’t surprise us, as Berkshire isn’t one of the companies looking to push the limits of the .3% legal limit. If you’re looking for maximum THC content, companies such as Legals are probably more in line with your goals. When it comes to terpenes, Berkshire CBD does an incredible job of breaking down the contents of it’s flower. Instead of us regurgitating the details, just take a look at this handy terpene bar chart that details the contents of Elektra:
Effect (8.5 out of 10)
First off, we need to mention that our reviewers produced some big clouds well into our session. Unlike many flowers that burn off quickly, Berkshire’s Elektra has some staying power. The gassy – but mellow – smoke started mostly as a head effect. Our reviewers felt a little lighter and had a slight head rush. A chill started in our shoulders at first and, over time, creeped down towards the elbows. As with most sativas, this strain stayed mostly in the upper body and head. We noted that Berkshire Elektra doesn’t have the same head seizing effect that we described with something like Fields of Hemp AC/DC, but did bring about some focus. The more that time wore on, the more we appreciated and felt the full effects of Elektra. One reviewer commented that he was in a Bob Marley mood – relaxed, content and focused. What more do you need?
Price (9.0 out of 10)
Berkshire CBD’s pricing is fairly standardized across their flower, but we did notice some discounts at higher volumes on this Elektra flower relative to what we found previously with the Berkshire Remedy strain. To sum it up, you can get Elektra for $25 for an 1/8 oz, $40 for a 1/4 oz, $60 for 1/2 and $100 for an ounce. This puts this flower at the lower-middle or lower end of the spectrum. The quality of the flower relative to the price really stands out. At these prices, you’re paying 6.7 cents per milligram of CBD when you buy an 1/8th – lower than Remedy, but still medium-high when it comes to prices-per-milligram in flower. Don’t worry, there’s great news ahead. If you buy an ounce, you cut that by 2/3 to 2.1 cents per milligram. Two thirds! That’s an incredible deal for the quality. If you like the effects we described above, you can’t go wrong with Berkshire Elektra.

Remedy Hemp Flower, 10.05% CBD, .14% THC
When you start poking around the CBD Flower world, it doesn’t take you long to come across Berkshire CBD. Based on what we can see online about the vibe around this brand, Berkshire is a rising star in the CBD world. That makes sense, as the website oozes class and professionalism in a world with some seedy – pun intended – companies. Thoughtful packaging, quality photography, good product descriptions and intuitive ways to shop for flower are all pluses in our book. Boasting a few noticeable strain names, such as Remedy – the subject of this review – we were excited to rip open our first pouch of this seemingly top tier flower.
The Five Senses (8.0 out of 10)
The Remedy strain isn’t going to punch you in the nose with its smell in the way a kush strain might. But, that’s OK. Upon opening our bag of Remedy, we were greeted with a subtle, sweet smell of citrus and earth. That smell is amplified when it hits the grinder and we found it quite pleasant overall. Putting the flower through our vaporizer provided a mellow, smooth smoke – no harshness here. That’s important because, if you’re experimenting with CBD, you are going to come across some that are hard to take down. Even when vaporized, you can still taste the citrus in this flower. As we made our way through our session, we were very happy with this toasty, citrus-y blend.
Curb Appeal (8.5 out of 10)
Our Remedy nuggets showed up exactly as anticipated, looking fairly identical to the online pictures. The only knock here is that the pouch packaging had flattened the product a bit. That aside, the buds still smoked the same and were layered with orange trichomes against the backdrop of various shades of green – exactly what you’d hope for. Our Remedy pouch was not quite as frosty as some flowers, but overall has a nice coating of crystals. The standout aspect of this flower is the moisture content. We’ve tried a lot of dry flower and this was not one of them. Berkshire CBD has one of the best, if not the best, cures we’ve seen. Consistent moisture content provide a smooth, mellow smoke as we mentioned. Combined with the taste, this was a really nice all around flower to consume.
Potency (7.0 out of 10)
Clocking in at 10.05% CBD content, this is not the strongest flower on the block and comes in at the lower end of CBD potency. We don’t have a problem with that. We know that not all of our readers are looking to have their socks knocked off when they consume CBD. On the THC front, the Berkshire Remedy came in at .14% delta-9. Not unexpectedly, Berkshire is not looking to push the limits of the .3% legal limit. This is higher than some of the flower products we’ve reviewed, but not the highest we have reviewed. On the terpene front, this flower has almost equal parts myrcene and beta-caryophyllene as it’s top two terpene readings (both around the .5% mark), so we knew we were in for a relaxed, potentially sedated, evening.
Effect (8.0 out of 10)
When you try the Berkshire Remedy strain, you quickly realize how consuming CBD flower can become a regular event. We had an almost instant chilling effect move from our hands to our head and then down to our feet. Super relaxing. What was apparent throughout was that, no matter how much we vaped, we weren’t going to get a head effect. You may see that as a good thing or a bad thing, but for us, it really opened up different times of the day when we could use CBD flower that we typically wouldn’t. Just like a CBD oil, we gained confidence that this flower is not going to significantly alter head clarity. Overall, the Remedy flower from Berkshire CBD is a pleasant, mild experience that is sure to instill calm and bring you back for more.
Price (9.0 out of 10)
At $25 for an 1/8 oz, $40 for a 1/4 oz, $65 for 1/2 and $110 for an ounce, this flower is priced at the lower-middle or lower end of the spectrum. Considering the quality of the flower relative to the price, that is an incredible deal. This is by far the best value (price v. quality) we’ve seen thus far. Now, that said, because it is lower on the CBD potency scale, even though the pricing is low on a quantity basis, you’re still paying 7.1 cents per milligram of CBD when you buy an 1/8th. That is actually pretty high when it comes prices-per-milligram in flower. The good news? If you buy an ounce, you cut that almost in half to 3.9 cents per milligram. Almost half! That’s a great deal. We’ve seen some ounces go for $250! If this is the right level of effect for you, you can’t go wrong with Berkshire CBD pricing for the quality.

Berkshire Lifter CBD Flower, 18.84% CBD, .69% THC
This wasn’t our first rodeo with the Berkshire brand, having reviewed a couple strains from their line previously. Berkshire CBD has garnered a stout reputation in the community as having consistent and reliably quality hemp flower. Their website is pristine, with product pages featuring introductions, backgrounds, graphs breaking down cannabinoids, and a visual representation of what each strain smells like. In recent times, they’ve grown their selection to include some more popular strains out of Oregon CBD cultivars, along with some exclusive strains, such as OG Kush and Sour Dog. Another great aspect of Berkshire CBD is that they are a farm and actually grow the flower you get on site. You won’t get that with every company in the hemp flower world.
The Five Senses (7.0 out of 10)
The first thing you gauge with flower when you first open it up is the smell. When we popped open our pouch of Lifter from Berkshire, we were met with a scent that wasn’t overwhelming nor underwhelming. We would consider it to be “standard” in the smell category. The initial aromas we detected were a citrus orange and lemon mixed with the aura of a pine forest. Smoking this flower is quite pleasant. The smoke is mellow and smooth and we made it through our session without coughing once. The flavor is mild, a kind of standard hemp taste with a slight hint of gassiness to it. Vaping it produced a similar experience, with a lighter, toastier version of the smoke. Overall, not a bad start.
Bag Appeal (8.5 out of 10)
Let’s pause and acknowledge how awesome the packaging is at Berkshire CBD. It’s not over the top. It’s not packaged in glass jars or super fancy tins. But, it’s creative, thoughtful, and relevant to the flower, which we love. Each strain has its own unique package design, with Lifter featuring a field of stylized “up” arrows all around the bag. Taking the flower out of the bag and giving it a squeeze, the moisture content seems prime. This flower is not too dry, not too moist. The buds are coated in a dense, sticky layer of trichomes, which gave us hope that this flower would be rich and resinous. We noticed a mix of phenotypes in the same bag, with some nuggets being a darker purple hue, some a greenish amber color, and others being light green. Buying this bag of Lifter is almost like getting some Elektra and some P10 in the same bag.
Potency (8.0 out of 10)
Coming in at 18.84% CBD, this is definitely not a lightweight flower and those test reasings are in the upper echelon of CBD percentages. If you match that with the moderate level of total THC (.69%), you have a potentially great combo of CBD relief without too much of the “rushy” THC-induced effects. That is the goal, right? Berkshire definitely goes the extra mile and provides full terpene reports on their product pages for each strain, which shouldn’t be surprising given the care they take with every other aspect of the product experience. Lifter is very high in Myrcene and Caryophyllyne, and has notable amounts of Humulene, Limonene, and Pinene. We were excited to see how the potency translated into effect.
Effect (7.5 out of 10)
Lifter was given the name “Lifter” purportedly because of its uplifting effects. It’s safe to say that anyone that has had a handful of Lifter cuts can vouch that it’s definitely not sedating, nor is it particularly indica-like in effect. That said, it’s also generally not particularly energizing either. Berkshire’s Lifter is no different. This flower gives a focused feeling, with a little bit of weight and pressure around the eyes. It won’t slow you down, but it probably won’t make you super motivated in the same way that Cheef Botanicals Hawaiian Haze does. It just makes you focused and meditative without being too euphoric. Nice. It also came with some “body effects.” Our reviewers felt a slight chill around the base of the neck and into the upper shoulders, with a mild, but noticeable relaxation in the muscles. Nothing super crazy, but it definitely relieves tension and allows you to readjust yourself for the day ahead.
Price (9.0 out of 10)
Here’s the deal; Berkshire CBD has good quality outdoor flower that is grown, dried, trimmed, and cured with a lot of care. The effects are desirable and give you what you’re looking for. However, and this is the case with MANY strains we review, you might find higher perceived quality from an indoor strain for the same price. At $25 an eighth it’s not the most expensive flower, nor is it the cheapest. Many people are perfectly fine paying that price for what they receive and are ecstatic with the consistency from Berkshire products. But, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t tell our readers that, at this price, there is extremely high quality, indoor grown flower at comparable prices. We think our readers will love the consistency and experience of Berkshire products from end-to-end. With a little sharpening of the pencil on pricing over time, this brand can easily be one of the top dogs in the space and they’re headed that way.
